Milan Fashion Week: Fashion as Art

Since the middle of the last century, fashion weeks have spread all over the world, and the most important of them are held in four "fashion capitals": Milan, Paris, London and New York. Today, this grandiose show is known to the whole world for its scope, beauty and extravagance, but it all began in 1943 in New York to promote local fashion, since during the Second World War it became impossible to import clothes from Europe. After which other capitals began to hold similar events.

After New York and London, it was Milan's turn to shine in all its glory, where from February 16 to 26 there were fashion shows for women fall / winter 2014/2015.

The beginning for Milan was laid in 1979. Before that, Florence was considered the center of Italian fashion for quite some time. Everything changed only in the late 70s, when Milan introduced a new concept of the event: a multi-day show was organized with special shows. Now the event takes place in February and September - women's collections, in January and June - men's collections.

It's time to introduce our readers to the latest products of this year and summarize the results of such a grandiose event as Fashion Week Milan.

In just a week was spent 64 views mod and 72 presentationswere also presented 143 collections various designers, and all this thanks to the incredible work of the National Fashion Chamber.

Since 2009, the government of Milan has announced the Milano loves fashion program to make fashion more accessible to every citizen of the city. The result of the program was a greater openness of fashion shows. Thanks to the excellent organization, the new collections can be seen not only directly at the show, but also on giant screens installed throughout the city.

Milan Women's Fashion 2014/2015 introduces new social values and respect for the nature around us. Despite the bad weather and some protests, the collections of the famous Italian designers Prada, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Versace and others were successfully presented.

Collections of young designers were also presented: Francesco Scognamiglio and Gabriele Colangelo, which had already become no less popular than the above-described designers. No less expected were the collections of Alberta Ferretti, Marni, Blumarine.

After the show, all new collections get the opportunity to go to the shelves of designer boutiques, where every thing becomes everyone’s dream, but not everyone dreams come true, since not everyone can afford the cost of designer things. You can see the details of each collection and find out the cost of the outfit you like on the official websites of designers.

Fashion Week is not only displays of the latest collections of various designers, but also a fashion creation week everywhere.

During this period, the special attention of reporters and journalists was focused not only on designers, but also on street models. This phenomenon is called Street Fashion, which means “street fashion”, which is formed directly on the streets between designers' shows. Each model, creating his own image, hopes to influence the further course of fashion.

And of course, during such an event, there’s no time for sleep: after all, shows start from the early morning and run until late at night, and then the presentations and nightlife open the doors to the fabulous night of the best clubs in Milan, where there is a chance to feel the trends and meet celebrity no less than at any show.

Art, innovation, feelings, sexuality, charisma, riddle, fashion, trends - all these words characterize Fashion Week 2014/2015.
